Sri Sambashiva Ramanananda

“I am a Vedic Astrologer and a Spiritual Seeker.
I am a Cosmetics Formulation Consultant and own a firm, Shri Mitra Consultancy in Chennai, India. We develop formulations of Cosmetic products, Ayurvedic and Siddha for skin, hair and oral care.
I vividly remember that pleasant and fortunate day when I met Guruji at Somangalam during 1991. Later my spiritual journey started with Guruji’s guidance from 1993 onwards, during the days of Oneness movement. As an insecure youngster with lots of confusions about life and spirituality, I approached Guruji. When I look back those days after 25 + years, tears well up in my eyes with gratitude. Fortunately, God has blessed me to travel with Guruji in the path of Vedic Astrology also.
My natural bhava towards the Divine is bakthi. But during the earlier days it was a hard core Dvaita bakthi – having the Divine as a separate entity, the other. Naturally, the sense of guilt did not allow me to even come near Advaita!  Of course, craving for mystical experiences was another problem with me. With years of delusion, it was initially very difficult for me to even think of Advaita. I struggled a lot with conflicts and confusions during initial classes of Amanaskayoga. Slowly, the understanding dawned, once Guruji’s teachings started piercing into the old notions I had for years.
My basic nature of being a baktha still continues, with an entirely different understanding. I realised that, the annihilation of the ‘small self’ is the true surrender to the Divine which is none other than our ‘true Self’.
I have been travelling in the path of Amanaskayoga with Guruji’s guidance. He instilled in me the researcher’s approach to the spiritual path for which I am indebted to him forever. While I face lots of hurdles in the journey, the extraordinary clarity of his teaching guides me .. a long way to go ..
I am blessed to have a Guru who is a Baktha as well as a Jnani. He has been guiding me in both these apparently different paths.
My humble pranams to my beloved Guruji with deep felt gratitude ..”
